How Can I Submit an Enquiry for a Quote?
If you would like to enquire about an order please fill out the ‘Trade enquiry’ or the ‘Request a Quote’ form which is on our website. Or if you prefer you can phone or email your enquiry through. From here a member of our team will email or fax your quote through for your approval. If you are happy with what we charge we can send you a catalogue and some bag samples.
How do I place an Order?
If you want to order from us you will need to send us a Purchase Order which will provide us with the details of your order. Once we have received this we will then send you a Proforma Invoice / Sales Order for you to check over. This has all of the details of your order and once you have signed it and faxed it back we can make a start.
If you plan on using your own artwork we will need to have it at this stage (check out the Accepted files types for artwork section to view the formats we accept). As soon as the artwork that you have sent us has been approved we will need a payment of 50% in advance to secure your order.
What are the Terms for Payment?
We require 50% advance payment on acceptance of your order and artwork (if you are using your own) and the 50% balance which must be paid within 7 days of receiving your order and invoice. On receipt of your deposit the production on your order will begin.
If you are ordering stock bags which are plain and can be delivered within 7 days, the full amount payable is due immediately.
Payment can be made by all major credit cards including: American Express, VISA or Mastercard. All credit card payments for invoices over £1000 will incur a 1.0% surcharge. Payments by debit card do not have to pay a surcharge.
Payments via bank transfers, cheque or bankers draft are also accepted.
Unfortunately we do not accept cheques from customers who are overseas.
I would like my own artwork on the bags, what is the lead time?
For orders where you would like to see samples using your artwork the lead time will be 2 – 3 weeks from the date you place an order and an agreed payment method has been accepted by Printed Paper Gift Bags.
The standard lead time for orders is 8 -10 weeks from the order being placed and the artwork being accepted.
If you need your order quickly, we can get them to you within 4 -6 weeks, this will incur an extra charge.
How do I get the artwork to you?
We accept artwork that is camera ready and colour separated typeset that is supplied to size and all prices reflect this. If artwork is provided that is not to the correct size it will be reduced or enlarged in order to fit the maximum print size (unless you have stated otherwise).
Any touch ups, typesetting or any other modifications that have to be made will be charged accordingly by Printed Paper Gift Bags. We are not responsible for the final quality of the product if the artwork is not classed as camera ready.

Accepted file types for artwork
At Printed Paper Gift Bags we use software in PC format and accept the following files:
Al: Adobe Illustrator 10.0+, PDF: high Resolution, JPEG
EPS: Text as curves PSD: Photoshop v6.0 or +
All artwork must be saved at 300dpi. If you are using fonts please embed them or export text as curves.
Are there additional charges for rushing my order?
All urgent orders will include a rush charge, this will be shown clearly on the quote we send you.
Can I see a Proof before my order is made?
You will be sent a proof via email for you to approve. Once you have approved the design this will mean acceptance of the terms and conditions stated by Paper Bags Direct.
Any delay on the proofs being approved may delay shipment. All physical samples will be provided but require a Sample Approval Sheet to be completed and either posted or faxed back to us.
Is there a charge for plates / die cut / screen / film?
Plates are charged per size and the cost will depend on the number of different sized plates you will need for each die cut. If there are no amendments to your artwork this charge will be a one off, which means that all subsequent orders will not carry it.
There is an additional plate charge if you will need any printing inside the bag.
Am I able to specify Pantone Codes?
You can specify particular Pantone Codes for the printing and the bag that you order. We will match the colours as closely as possible, although sometimes an exact match cannot be found. The handle of the bag will be matched as closely as possible.
Can you Embroider designs on bags?
Embroidery is suitable on our handmade paper bags, jute bags and cotton bags. We can add special embroidered designs and depending on the style, stitches, colour etc this may add an additional cost to your bags.
Can I cancel my order?
If you wish to cancel your order Printed Paper Gift Bags will require it in writing and it must get to us within 2 days of the final contract being placed. We cannot accept any cancellations via the phone. If you want to cancel your sample we can only accept this if an imprinted screen has not had to be made and the goods are not shipped.
What happens when my order is ready?
Once your order is ready we will let you know how many boxes will be arriving and agree a suitable date for delivery.
How is my order packed?
We pack our orders in hardback paper carton boxes that will fit from 100 – 250 bags per box.
Which shipping companies do you use?
For samples we use: TNT, FedEx, UPS or DHL.
If you are ordering in bulk (over 2000 +) we will deliver straight to you by truck. Printed Paper Gift Bags reserves the right to choose the most suitable delivery method, unless the customer has specifically chosen the shipper. Once the terms and conditions have been agreed by Printed Paper Gift Bags and the Buyer we (Printed Paper Gift Bags) will handle all shipping and take responsibility for it.
