Getting a Quote

Use the handy website forms ‘Trade enquiry’ or ‘Request a Quote’ and provide us with some details of your requirements. One of our representatives will then email or fax your quote to you. If you are happy with the quote we will then send you one of our catalogues and samples that you might require.

We also take information for quotes via email or by calling us direct.

Placing an Order

To place an order send us the Purchase Order which we will supply with your quote, to us with the full details of your order. On receipt of this information Paper Bags Direct will send you a Sale Order which you will need to sign and fax back to us before we can go ahead.

Any artwork that you might want to include in the design will need to be sent to us and approved. Once this has been done (if you are adding your own artwork) you will need to provide 50% payment in advance. As soon as this payment has been made production will start on your order.

Lead Time

For samples with your artwork 2 -3 weeks from the date the order was placed and payment was agreed.

Standard lead time for all other orders is 8 -10 weeks from the date the order was placed and artwork was accepted.

Pantone Codes

To give you even more control over your designs you can specify the Pantone Codes for the colours you want to use. We will do our best to colour match these as closely as possible with the closest match being on the handles of the bags which are made from rope.

Using Your Own Artwork

The prices on your quote will be provided assuming that your artwork is camera ready (it is suitable for printing immediately with the typeset being colour separated and in the correct format).

If you do not provide camera ready artwork we will get our graphics team to resize the image to the maximum size, providing that you have not stated otherwise. Any alterations to the artwork which are needed to make it print ready will be charged as extras.

Paper Bags Direct cannot be held accountable if the artwork that you provide is not suitable for printing as this can affect the quality of the finished product.

Information on Accepted Artwork Formats

All artwork that is sent to us should be saved at 300dpi.

Please Ensure that all text is exported as curves or ensure that fonts that are used are embedded.

EPS: Text as curves

PSD: Photoshop v6.0 or higher

JPEG

PDF: high Resolution

Al: Adobe Illustrator 10.0+

Proofs of Designs

You will be emailed a proof of the design that you want, using the artwork that you have provided (if you are using your own). If you like what you see you will need to approve it and this will secure your order and your acceptance of our terms and conditions. To see samples of your bags please complete a sample approval form and fax it or post it back to us.

Be aware that delays in approving proofs will extend the delivery time of your order.

Samples

We offer samples to our customers so they can see the quality of the products that we produce. If you would like to view a physical sample of your order please fill in the Sample Approval form and we will post one out to you.

Payment Terms and Conditions

Please take the time to read our payment terms and conditions before placing an order.

Custom Order: 50% of total order payment due in advance with the final 50% due 7 days after the final invoice has been raised and the order has been delivered.


Plain stock bags: 100% payment on all plain bags which we hold in stock as these can be delivered within 7 days.

Accepted Payment Types: All major credit cards (be aware that these carry a 3.5% surcharge on orders over £750), debit cards, cheques, bankers drafts and bank transfers.

We do not accept cheques from non UK residents at this time.

Extra Charges

Die cuts / plates / screen / film extra charges: the additional charge for any of these extras will be a onetime payment. We charge on a per plate basis as one plate will be created for each size of die cut. However, once these have been made and you want to place another order using the same artwork there will be no additional charge.

Printing inside the bags: this is a feature that a lot of customers love as it adds an extra dimension to the look of the bags. There will be a per plate charge for this also which will be included on your quote.

Embroidery: we offer embroidery on all of our bags that are made from Jute or cotton and also on our paper bags that have been handmade. To request a quote for our embroidery services please state this on your order form. We will use this information to assess the cost of the extra.

Cancelling an Order

Paper Bags Direct must receive a written cancellation within 2 days of the contract being agreed and placed. We do not accept cancellations in any other format.
If you want to cancel a sample you can do this providing that no screen has been made and the sample has not been shipped.

Cancellation, Returns & Refund Policy:

Damaged goods will be replaced or refunded at the discretion of PrintedPaperGiftBags.co.uk

For all unwanted goods a refund will be given if returned within 7 days of receipt of goods. Unwanted goods returned within 7 days will be subject to a 15% restocking charge and admin charge.

Unwanted goods must be returned at customer's expense (collection charge of goods to be charged to the customer). Unwanted goods cannot be returned or accepted after 7 days.

You will receive a refund from us within 14 working days of our receipt of the returned goods..

Rush Orders with Fast Delivery

We can offer rush orders with a lead time of 4 -6 weeks. There will be an additional charge for this which will be included in your quote.

Delivery Procedure

As soon as your order is ready to be delivered we will contact you via telephone and agree on a delivery date. We also inform you of the number of boxes that will be delivered to you.

According to the terms and conditions that were accepted by the Buyer, Printed Paper Gift Bags will handle all shipping, unless the Buyer has stated otherwise and has a preferred carrier or a preferred route.

Packing Information

All of our bags are packed in heavy duty cartons which are strong and durable. These can hold from 100 – 250 bags per box depending on the size and shape of the bags ordered.
